Live the Life You’ve Been Seeking

Don’t Wait for Disease to Happen.

Do you feel tired and less vibrant than you used to? Has weight crept on? Has day to day life become a chore? Has joy given way to survival? Have you spent the past 10-20 years caring for your family while putting your own health on the back burner? It is time to make YOU the priority before your symptoms are severe enough to earn a medical diagnosis. Dr. Harding is passionate about helping women create a healthy lifestyle that leads them back to optimal health and a full life.

There are no quick solutions.

Whole Medicine is a Functional Medicine practice that treats the whole patient. The current medical model of treating one body system for symptoms and ignoring how it is connected to the rest of the body is outdated and does not address the root cause of disease. The days of “one pill for every ill” need to end. There are no quick fix solutions.

How Whole Medicine is Different

Dr. Harding uses an integrated body systems approach to identify and address the underlying causes of chronic disease and difficult to treat symptoms. She works as a medical detective to uncover the factors that impact health and sets patients on a healing path. What that means is she starts at the beginning. Together you explore your health timeline from the moment you were born (or before) and work through your life experiences and illnesses to determine all of the factors that have impacted your health.

Meet Dr. Kristen Harding

Kristen Harding, M.D. was one of the first certified Functional Medicine Physicians in the Cincinnati area. She has a unique perspective since she is a medical doctor and practiced family medicine for over a decade before changing her focus to functional medicine. She is constantly meeting patients for whom conventional healthcare has no answers. Using the Functional Medicine model she looks at the foundations of health including nutrition, sleep, movement, relationships, and stress. She then evaluates the physiology and function of each body system to understand what is being impacted. She carefully listens to your health story and gives you the tools to move forward toward healing and optimal health.

Therapeutic Relationship

It’s possible you’ve had a negative experience with your doctor in the past, or maybe you’re just disappointed in the conventional way of doing things. Through longer appointments, Dr. Harding gets to know you and provides you with genuine care.

Tools for Healing

Our ultimate goal is to make sure you leave your appointments feeling listened to and well equipped to move forward. During your time spent with Dr. Harding, you will build a foundation of knowledge and gather the tools you need to heal.

Patient Empowerment

Healing wouldn’t occur if it weren’t for you, the patient. We are here to guide you, provide support, and educate you – but ultimately your body will be the one doing the work! Your voice matters, your body matters, and we are here to listen.

What people are saying.

“Dr. Harding is an investigator! She doesn’t provide band aid fixes. She drives down to the root cause and comes up with solutions and suggestions to try. If I fall off the wagon, she’s the voice of reason to help me get back up.”

— Carmen

I have been a patient of Dr. Harding's for well over five years. Throughout my many health struggles, she has willingly listened to my story, given expert advice and has been intrigued and open to research I had done.

Despite being fabulous in a medical sense, Dr. Harding has been a tremendous counselor to me, cheering me on each step of the way. When I leave her office, I feel so empowered and ready to continue this otherwise lonely journey. She has been the confidant I needed many, many times!

— Brenda

Dr. Harding has been a blessing in my life. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional and keeps up on current medical research. At the same time, however, she understands the limitations of the traditional medical system and is open to alternative, out-of-the-box thinking, which has led to her additional training in Functional Medicine.

Dr. Harding is personable, kind, positive, a fun conversationalist, and truly believes in the body’s innate ability to heal itself. It has been a joy to work with her!
